A break away from the conventional models, the mobile phone is bit too expensive and sophisticated for regular use. Design
Samsung i700 resembles more a pocket PC than a phone. A high-end pedigree smart phone, it looks very stylish in its silver finish and rounded corners. The speaker phone, the hands free headsets (2.5mm stereo), the swivel joint (rotating 270 degrees) for mounting the camera atop the phone, the ideally placed buttons, card slots and stylus all make it a performance-oriented choice.
Features The superb display – riding high on picture quality and a sizeable screen – marks the entry of a new generation Pocket PC phone. The 240 x 320 pixel, VGA-quality touch screen displays as many as 65,000 colours. The life-likeness and clarity of the display is characteristic of the Samsung brand. The brightness panel can be adjusted to five levels of brilliance. The transflective display allows you to view the screen outdoors.
Samsung i700’s 300 MHz Intel XScale processor and its 64 MB of Random Access Memory permits the users to enjoy web-browsing, access PIM (Personal Information Manager) data and work with Pocket Word and Excel. Conveniently for the users, the Pocket PC does all this pretty fast.
This Samsung pocket PC supports Verizon’s Express Network (Verizon's name for their high speed 1xRTT data network), something that enables the users to avail Verizon's wireless Web and e-mail services. As regards signal strength or reception, Verizon hardly gives you any occasion to complain. To further spice it up, the i700 is a dual band phone and supports both US CDMA bands (800 MHz and 1900 MHz).
The mobile also has an SD memory expansion slot that supports SD and MMC storage cards as well as SDIO cards. With these storage cards, you can switch to free and fast WiFi instead of wasting your precious Verizon Wireless' network time. (You can also use Bluetooth SD cards with this Samsung model). A perfectly user-friendly phone, it allows you to send messages and emails. Contacting is simply easy, and requires you to dial from any of the available options as the address book, onscreen dialler, call log or the speed dial list.
The Samsung i700 is a smart phone indeed. The unique Voice Signal or voice-dialling feature it comes with permits you to dial any contact simply by articulating the name, number or some specific sound or phrase. This feature will surely make you fall in love with the phone!
The 5.2" x 2.75" x 0.7" pace setter mobile phone cum pocket PC, weighs about 5.6 ounce and allows you continuous digital talk time of up to 2.2 hours and with extended battery up to 4.2 hours. The standby time is 130 hours in case of regular battery and 240 hours with the extended battery.
